Our own Eric Zidarich has decided to give up his luscious locks to help fight children’s cancer. Downers Grove South Highschool, where Eric is a student, has teamed up with The St Baldrick’s Foundation for this worthy cause. Between now and March 16th, 2012 Eric has pledged to raise $500 for this charity.
Eric explains why he’s willing to give up his mane:
…I’m having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
So when I ask for your support, I’m really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
How can you help? Head over to Eric’s Shavee page at St. Baldrick’s site and click “Make a Donation“. Then, tell your friends. Share it on Facebook, Tweet about it, do whatever it is that Google+ does.
We’ll keep you updated as Eric progresses toward (and, with the help of the paintball community, surpasses) his goal. Shortly after March 16th, 2012 we’ll have pictures of our newly sheared Saint.
